Beyond Awakening

There’s a quietness that comes after we’ve made it through the long journey of coming home to ourselves. From what I’ve experienced and from what others have shared it’s the kind of feeling you get, if you can imagine, that you would feel blasting out past the stratosphere and hitting the zero degree gravity point.

You no longer feel the same cravings, thoughts are quiet, sort of in the background, faintly heard. If at this point you decided to meditate or go for a bare foot walk on your local mountain it will amplify this blissful feeling, leaving you in the sensation of floating around. It’s very peaceful and full of lightness. The feelings of lack have disappeared and it’s replaced by a feeling as though you’re being cuddled by a universal soft cashmere cushion.

Some have called me recently and said, “it feels like there’s something missing”. Everything is well, yet because we are so used to being in the push and pull state of the lower ego for so long we feel as though something about that quiet peace must be an indication that something is missing or wrong. The only thing missing is the exhausting roller coaster ride that the heavy work of clearing out past conditioning and trauma caused on our emotional bodies. When we are in the throws of awakening we must pass through many layers and gates—lessons or healings within each chakra. As we move through each one we mentally wrestle with the cognitive dissonance that they create and because each thought creates a feeling, sensation and emotion in the body it drains us internally and we actually start to become used to that feeling as the normal state.

The calming of the mind and the lower-ego equals a calming of our heart beats, nervous system and balancing of our internal bodily functions, hormones. Our bodies begin to feel anew, they become re-awakened to homeostasis and feel much lighter, fuzzy and aligned. This will feel weird after having spent so much time in a state of emotional stress while we did the inner work.

Many people feel so out of place that they can easily start to fall back into negative thought patterns that precipitate self-doubt that temporarily reawaken insecurities. Although you can’t go back asleep once you’ve awoken, you can prolong adjusting to the new you by entertaining the notion that something must be wrong. One might think “I’m depressed”, which causes the body to fall out of balance and start a chain-reaction of chemicals in the brain that flood the body and possibly decrease the immune system, causing us to be susceptible to illness.

The sensations of inner peace can be labeled as apathy but they are more so a soft inner power that equates to emotional resilience in the world. We don’t feel affected by the same triggers or emotions that rise up in others when they are triggered, so we might believe or sense that we are disconnected. The beauty is that we are no longer connected to each other on an ego-level, we have become connected on a heart-level, even with those that have not ascended into their hearts yet. We can see their emotional pain but we are no longer a part of the roller coaster of it and have trouble relating to it.

What awaits us is a big open wide space, a blank canvas that gently calls our soul’s longings to the forefront. This calm space is the container that shiva so generously provides, a vastness, an unlimited awareness of consciousness, it’s the divine masculine energies that have been awakened and stabilized. It’s a wonderful time and space to be in because our vision is no longer blurred by the inner dialogue of the lower ego-driven thoughts, we create purely from a heart space and call forth our true soul’s longings. We still have spurts of kundalini rising, that amazing shakti energy that is activating our chakras and bringing forth inspiration and a well of creativity but we no longer feel the push-pull of creating from the contrast of pain. It’s at this time that we can calmly establish where we wish to place our energy and what we wish to create with it for the betterment of the world.

Tapping into your gifts are essential to continuing on your path towards enlightenment. Simply doing what brings you joy will get you there. Anything really, even if that means being still and staring up at the sky to watch the birds for an afternoon, from there you will be called to do something more active and before you know it, you’ll be feeling the pull towards a specific type of creation. All flows well when you can rest assured that nothing is missing and the calmness you are feeling will continue to hold and cuddle your heart deeper into Gaia’s heart.

During this time I invite you connect more deeply with your senses and self-love. As you connect with your self-love consciously send it out into your body, your home, your community, the city, province, country, the world and finally out into the universe. Sending these love vibrations out around you will begin to activate your surroundings with a new frequency and awaken further the people in it as we move collectively to complete this wave of activation.
