Lightworker, Darkworker

(Update: Both the concept of Lightworker and Darkworker are concepts that belong to a dead era. What I've come to understand through my own personal evolution is that these archetypes are both polarized and no longer hold the same validity or value they once did in society. What is currently arising are new archetypes that embody both the masculine and feminine energies in balance. This transformation is a reflection of our increased understanding of what healthy interconnectivity looks like and feels like both within and without in the world.)

I’ve been studying this for many years in the background of my mind, a super interesting topic that touches a deep multidimensional duality, a misguided truth within how we perceive Darkworkers and Lightworkers at play within society. Loosely defined, a Lightworker is someone who appears to project their love outwardly onto the world while Darkworkers appear to be projecting their love inwardly.

Polarity exists on all levels of consciousness and dimensions of understanding. The deeper you dive, the more this truth shows itself to you. Those who appear to walk the path of a Lightworker are often in-fact living according to the true definition of Darkworker at their foundation and those who live according to the surface definition of Darkworker are often in-fact living by the true definition of Lightworker, at their foundation. This duality is more prominent when both have completely committed to one path or the other.

I’m not speaking about the average Joe/Jane that isn’t living an awakened multidimensional life, because those people, by default, fall under the category of unconscious Greyworkers, they have no real focus or direction and never consciously polarize to one path or the other. Nor am I speaking of good or evil actions in the world. I’m speaking about those people whom assume roles as either Light or Dark workers and have consciously chosen one or the other as their path of ascension.

At the highest vantage point both are in fact the same, so there’s no good or bad here but from a lower vantage point what distinguishes the Darkworker from the Lightworker is that the Darkworker is a person who is focused on being at service to the self, their personal growth and evolution on an individual level (one that is inextricably part of the whole). They might appear to be focused on their personal healing journey or particular craft, their outward expressions and actions often seeming self-absorbed.

What distinguishes a Lightworker is that their main focus is that of being totally at service to others within their role in the world, often appearing to be selfless and living according to the needs of those around them. Many working as helpers, philanthropist or healers, offering over their title to self-sacrifice.

Anyone who sees multidimensionally will eventually understand this truth. I spent sometime in confusion about this because the duality of it is so extreme, it’s almost blinding. If keenly observed, Lightworkers, in their highest form of evolution, are at service to self by the way in which they organize the practical aspects of their lives, consuming mostly from those around them to sustain themselves, maintain their individual health and prosperity as a means to continue helping others in the community. Take the Dali Lama for example, he is sustained by his entourage completely, so he may be fully at service to the world.

Darkworkers on the other hand assume a role of service to self, taking little from those around them to sustain their personal interests and pursuits, often appearing selfish due to their inward focus. They fine-tune their unique gifts or offerings by focusing on their personal development, the bi-product of this contributes to the whole equally to the Lightworker. Take the example of Einstein, his life was mostly lived with an inward focus on his imagination, his research and calculations.

A Lightworker must consume in order to continue sharing light with the collective, while a Darkworker subsumes themselves in order to share their light with the collective. Moving past judgment from the lower vantage points between these two, what appears to be good and bad actions, one comes to realize and can honour both these paths as valid, especially when they’re embodied to their fullest potential. If not lived out to their fullest, both theses paths end up in a state of limbo, falling under the grey category.

What’s even trickier is that a true Lightworker often dosen’t follow the standards of how the cliched Lightworker should be, they can assume “darker” roles in society, by the way in which they dress, act and by the environments they spend their time in.

Conversely many Darkworkers appear in opposite form, meeting the standards and norms of how a Lightworker should appear, both physically and in their overall roles, actions and work environments.

Lightworkers and Darkworkers at their most evolved state contribute equally to the greater peace of the whole. This is justified with the understanding that in order for the collective human body to be at peace, any one individual within that body must be at peace within themselves. So, whether you’re focused on self or the other and can accomplish peace within either of these  the collective body works in greater harmony.

Basically, Love Everyone.

  1. Nice article. I have always believed that in order to help others you should help yourself first. However, this is not always the case, since there is a bunch of people who get all their fullfillment from helping others. So I guess you just have to find who or which kind you are, and act accordingly.
